My hair is very porous - it frizzes easily and can lose moisture quickly, which, coupled with the fact that I'm trying to grow my hair even longer and am battling split ends, was why I chose this more intense formula. When I rinse it out during washing, instead of feeling stripped, my hair still feels very soft and also feels a little thicker. (For that reason, I wonder if this would be too heavy for fine hair. In that case, perhaps you'd rather try the Shampoo for Dry Hair, which should be a lighter formula.) The pleasing scent is just another plus.
