John Frieda Luminous Color Glaze

What They Say: "The professionals at John Frieda are renowned for bringing salon technology and professional products to the mass market.

They were first to offer breakthrough products like Frizz Ease® and they were the first to build a full hair care line formulated for specific hair shades.

And now, they’re the first to offer easy-to-use, at home, salon glazing.

Glazing is a process that’s been offered in professional salons for years to optimize the look and feel of dull, faded, lifeless hair. In fact, if you’ve ever gotten your hair colored at a salon, chances are you’ve had a glaze done.

Luminous Color Glaze™ delivers the results of a professional salon glaze, right in the shower. In just 3 minutes, you can give your hair a complete makeover, effortlessly."

Jen's Experience: I've been using this product for quite some time now in combination with my Nexxus Therappe Shampoo and Paul Mitchell Extra Body Mousse, and I will cut right to the chase here -- this product completes my Trifecta of Great Hair. This as well as the other products I mentioned work well alone, and make my hair shiny, healthy-looking, and full of body. But together, they are a force to be reckoned with.

I find this particular product to do great things with my hair color. In addition to adding shine, it seems to add some believable highlights to my hair, which I am currently dying dark blonde. In fact, in about a months time, I would say it lightened my hair a full shade, but the color was so nice that I frequently got compliments.

Alone, this product doesn't quite do what I expected in terms of shine, but I'm really glad that it doesn't weigh my hair down or cause it to look greasy. For those of you looking for a way to spice up your color, I highly recommend picking some of this up. You'll need to try it at least 3 times a week for about 2 weeks to see visible results in the color, but if you're like me, you'll start seeing an improvement in your hair right off the bat.

I used this also, in the dark red shade, and unlike you, found that it did seem to weigh my hair down and cause it to feel greasy. I didn't just want to waste it, though, so I took to using it at night and then giving my hair another wash in the morning. Even so, I did really like the color results! Subtle, but not tooo subtle.

I am on my 5th bottle. I love it. I don't need to get my hair colored as often either...which is a bonus!...more money for starbucks and clothes! :)
