How does Perfect 10 work in just 10 minutes?
Will it cover my grays? Will the color last?
Will it leave my hair healthy and shiny?
Melissa Says: Oh, this is one of those unfortunate times when I have to be negative, but trust me, it's for your own good.
I was excited about the promise of fast! easy! shiny! color, but was soon disappointed after beginning the application process. Let me preface this by saying that I suppose if your hair is quite short, the problems I experienced with the applicator comb probably won't be quite as prevalent for you. But for me (my hair currently hits just below the shoulders), sliding the comb down my hair created LOTS of tangles immediately, and I still felt like I needed to mush the color into my hair with my other gloved hand anyway, because it didn't feel like the color was getting to all of the strands. I knew right away that this was going to be a pain applying, compared to simply squeezing it onto my hair and massaging it in to the strands as I usually do with my regular at-home color.
In addition to the annoying process of trying to get the product through my hair, I felt that I had to worry more about drops splattering around simply because I didn't feel like I had enough control of what was a) coming out of the comb and b) getting trapped in the tangles in my hair, creating globs. In short, the experience was not pleasant.
Once I had rinsed (after waiting the full time limit), I didn't think the included conditioner really made my hair feel softened enough, and it seemed more dried out than it usually is when I get done coloring. I also didn't think my hair had the fabulous shine it promised - in fact, to me it seemed more dull than before I used it.
Overall, I was disappointed. Back to L'Oreal Superior Preference 4G (Dark Golden Brown) for me! In fact, I bought some and used it a few days later, because my roots didn't even seem to have been fully colored with this stuff.
